Check For Colic Buzz 6/25/21
Came home at 4:15 which is feeding time and noticed Buzz streatching as if to pee, but not letting down. I had also
noticed that he was not on his left corral but on Tom's side on the right. When fed he was eating slowly.
Then streatching again. Asked Steve to go bring me my emergency box from the Living Quarter trailer and another
water bucket. Buzz started to paw after 45 minutes. Hauled to the vet. Dr. Brenda Linman heard an elevated heart beat when he was cramping but good gut sounds.
Vet Visit June 25th Buzz Belly Ache

ahead and oil him. He was given Banamine. Buzz
would not swollow the tube both large and small size. We ended up geting it done when we took him out of the stantions and
had him out on the grass. The smaller tube worked better. He also ate psyllium to help remove any sand. He passed poop in the Trailer. The next day he wsa better, but gave him 4 days off.
This was his first time ever having any coloic symptons. But it was been a hot spell with over 100 degree days.
