After her workouts in the arena, I have taken advantage to our pond and worked her in the water. We have had the most rain in our 25 years of living here. This winter has been
very cold nights and sometimes wearing two blankets. Two days later, she spooks in the pasture and swims across our pond in freezing cold weather.
Crazy moment.
Stephanie and I witness Tom Girl, who jumps into the pond from the far side and swims all the way across.
With her blanket on. Climps out of the freezing cold water up the steep hill. I then caught her and spent the next hour drying her. She was shivering. We have had 31 degree
nights. I used a moving blanket, towels and an electric blanket to get her warm. Spent an hours working on her neck which was very hard muscles. She must have spooked
at something is all we can figure. Thank god I was home when it happened.
